Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our healthcare center specializing in applied research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for an ICMR-funded project. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, image processing, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, with a passion for developing innovative solutions to complex problems in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct applied research in AI, focusing on healthcare applications.
  • Develop and implement machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI algorithms for medical image processing.
  • Analyze and interpret complex medical data, including CT, MRI, genomic, and pathology data.

Required Qualifications:

Roles & Responsibilties

  1. Providing IT program leadership covering bottomline responsibility for the platform implementation leveraging the IIITB team and other technology vendor teams, meeting the programme requirements within cost, time and quality thresholds
  2. Outlining IT program level strategy and execution approach towards implementation by all teams
  3. Identifying critical risks and dependencies, defining mitigation strategies and flagging those to all other stakeholders as needed
  4. Discussions and brainstorming with healthcare collaborators and other key stakeholders towards aligning the technology track with the overall program across the hub and the facilities
  5. Leading the efforts for vendor evaluations and strategic hirings
  6. Incorporating appropriate action items in the plans based on participation in the program sub-committees for IT Architecture domain and Mental Healthcare Service Delivery domain
  7. Regular tracking of progress across developments teams and investigating into concern areas to define corrective measures needed

Essential qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or any engineering degree or any MBA degree supported with relevant technical background
  • Minimum of overall 18 years of experience, minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience
  • Experience in handling large and distributed teams

Desirable qualifications

Any prior experience in Healthcare technology domain
