E-Health Research Center of IIIT Bangalore is looking for high-performing technology professionals for a lead role in Tele MANAS - the National Tele Mental Health programme – a high-visibility, large-scale, multi-year programme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Tele MANAS has been operational since Oct 2022, and IIITB is responsible for the architecture and operations of the technology platforms for this program.

Roles & Responsibilties

1. Providing IT program leadership covering bottom-line responsibility for the platform implementation, leveraging the IIITB team and other technology vendor teams, meeting the programme requirements within cost, time, and quality thresholds
2. Outlining the IT program level strategy, roadmap, and execution approach towards implementation by all teams
3. Participating in planning and review meetings with the Ministry and with the Apex team at NIMHANS
4. Planning, managing, and tracking budgets across all aspects of the program, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
5. Identifying critical risks and dependencies, defining mitigation strategies, and flagging those to all other stakeholders as needed
6. Regular tracking of progress across development teams and investigating into concern areas to define corrective measures needed
7. Discussions and brainstorming with healthcare collaborators and other key stakeholders towards aligning the technology track with the overall program across all facilities
8. Leading the efforts for vendor evaluations and strategic hirings

Essential qualifications

1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, any engineering degree, or any MBA degree supported with a relevant technical background
2. Minimum of overall 18 years of experience, minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience
3. Experience in handling large and distributed teams, and working with multiple stakeholders
4. Experience in the healthcare technology domain

Desirable qualifications

Prior experience in managing technology-enabled public health solutions
